Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله :
Anyone whose soul inclined towards a sin and then he despises it, denies himself (that sin) and leaves it for Allāh, he is increased in uprightness, righteousness and taqwā.

“I wish I could meet my brothers; those who have believed in me without seeing me.”

“If you knew the love Allah has for you, you would cry an endless ocean.”

There was never a woman who came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking justice who was told to go have sabr instead. Telling a woman to have sabr with oppression, in my opinion, is one of the most backward elements of our culture.
The decision to forgo justice in this world because you seek it from Allah is a matter of Ihsaan, and Ihsaan is something you choose for yourself. But you cannot choose Ihsaan for anyone else.
When a woman comes seeking help, and we tell her to have sabr with her oppression instead, we’re not encouraging good and forbidding evil. We’re enabling oppression in our communities.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’”

For some of us, tumblr is this book we’ve written over the years that no one from our personal lives has read, a journal full of everything we would want to share but also enjoy quietly.
